Carrickmines Equestrian Centre Re-opening May 18th 2020.   After many weeks of watching our beloved horses and ponies get fatter and fatter in the perfect sunshine, it is now time for them to get back to work and start shedding those extra pounds! From Monday May 18th we will begin to reopen for riding lessons in groups of 4 or less, and both private and semi-private lessons. However based on government guidelines there will be some changes. Our primary aim over the coming weeks is to create a safe environment for both our team and our customers and to once again enjoy horse riding in the great outdoors. We request that all customers do as directed by staff. We ask you to help us to maintain a safe friendly environment by adhering to these guidelines and co-operating with our team so we will be able to enjoy horse riding over the coming months.   Lessons and Bookings
  • We will not be doing term lessons for the foreseeable future due to current restrictions.
  • Lessons, until at least the 8th June will be for a maximum of 4 people.

https://carrickminesequestrian.ie/services/pony-camps-dublin-ireland/   While in the yard:
  • Our main barn, tack rooms and loft area will remain closed, with strictly no access.
  • It is important that social distancing is maintained at all times- in order to assist in providing a safe environment, we respectfully ask parents to remind their children of this before their lessons.
  • Parents are asked to drop children in carpark and please do not enter the yard.
  • Riders should arrive a maximum of 5 minutes in advance of lesson and children should be collected straight after their lesson. Loitering or congregating in the yard will not be allowed.
  • We have provided a new external hand washing station to facilitate hand hygiene. All customers are asked to wash their hands upon arrival to the yard and again immediately after their lesson.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available throughout yard and should be used.
  • Tack and touch points will be disinfected throughout day.
We will have other operational changes within the yard and as this is an ever evolving situation, we do expect further changes over the coming days, weeks and months and will make regular updates and advise accordingly. We appreciate your help to keep the yard a safe place for everyone, and we are all looking forward to seeing you soon.
